Jerusalem Beach |
|
Whether it was meant to snob the Jerusalemites for not having a beach of their own or whether it was done as a tribute to the country's capital, this beach is called Jerusalem beach.
Actually, the beach was named "Jerusalem" after Tel Aviv's legendary mayor, Shlomo Lahat, presented this beach as a gift for Jerusalem's legendary mayor, Teddy Koleck on a famous television show. Since thaen it has been known as Jerysalem beach.
Except for this "intriguing" story, there is nothing much to say of this beach. The majority of bathers are teenagers and non-residents of Tel Aviv. This is the beach people out of Tel Aviv usually come to and for no apparent reason. It's wide and spacious but lacking in character or charm.
