In the north of Tel Aviv you'll find Hayarkon Park, with its bicycle trails, little flowing river, green lawns and wide variety of family activities
Hayarkon Park is Tel Aviv's green sanctuary in the midst of the big city. The park attracts families, youngsters, joggers and almost anyone who feels like a breath of fresh air. It isn't exactly Central Park, but it's nice, cosy and offers a wide variety of activities. Here are a few of the options for a day or afternoon in Hayarkon Park.
A Green Day - When the weather permits and it’s not too warm or cold you can enjoy a “green” day in Hayarkon park. If you go to the west side of the park (west side of Ibn Gvirol St), you will bump into many families sitting on the grass and enjoying the sun.Take a blanket, some fruit, a sandwich or a full-fledged picnic and relax.
A Boat ride - Another fun thing you can do is rent a motor boat (150 NIS per hour) or a pedal boat (70 NIS per hour) and sail with ease on the Yarkon River.
Renting a Bike - The bicycle trails of the park are about 5km long (3.5 Miles). On your bicycle, you can explore the less toured paths of the park and make your way all the way to the Tel Aviv Port, stopping off for a drink by the sea.
Sports and Games - In the north of the park you can find children, teenagers and adults engaging in many different sports: soccer, basketball, tennis, football, baseball and more. There are also skateboard ramps and other activities that are suitable for older kids, teenagers and adults. Last but not least, there is even an impressive climbing wall, if you still have any energy left in you.
Playgrounds - There are several outdoor playgrounds for kids (2+) throughout the park , the best of which is located near the “Bavli” neighborhood.
If you're looking for something a little more active for kids, check out The Zafari, on the eastern side of the park.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows how far the basketball courts are from the Leonardo Boutique hotel?
Thanks.
