In the Dizengoff Center complex, you can find this excellent cinema which offers some of the best films showing in Israel.

Lev Cinema has established its reputation as a top rate cinema, introducing highly praised features and documentaries to Israelis.  The company has a number of cinemas around the country, the best of which are in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (Smadar Cinema).

If you are staying in Israel for a while or are a film fanatic, an excellent option would be to buy a subscription which simply implies that you get a minimum of 6 tickets for about NIS5 les per ticket.  It's an excellent deal.

In www.lev.co.il, you can find the list of films currently on – but the site is in Hebrew so it will be more of a guessing game.  For English only try the Herald Tribune's The Guide, which offers detailed information and interesting reviews.

    Shows: 11:30, 14:10, 16:30, 19:15, 22:00 (are usually the hours on weekdays)
    Address: Dizengoff Center
    Tel: (03)621-2222, 1-700-70-70-46

There are three more Lev Cinemas in Tel Aviv and around:

Lev Aviv (Ramat Aviv Moll, (03) 641-7148)
Lev Elram (Jabotinsky corner of Bialik in Ramat-Gan, (03) 672-2286))
Lev Daniel (Daniel Hotel in Herzeliya, (09) 951-9476)

    • ISAAC BEKERMANM  - customer service

Lev cinema has to come to terms that most foreigners do go to the movie houses, most Israelis dont. they get a copy on the shook, or bet something for nothing, actually they get nothing, i would love to go to the movies, but i cannot understand the Hebrew, and the titles are in Hebrew, they should definitely advertise the original title of the movie and weather or not is dubbed, or subtitled in which language... they would definitely increase the audience. But,,, in Israel they do not care,,, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE,,, no competition,,, THEY CHARGE WHAT EVER THEY WANT BECAUSE THEY CAN,,, NOBODY COMPETES ON ANY FIELD...

    • MONIQUE HAR-EL  - NO ORIGINAL ENGLISH MOVIE TITLES AT THE MOVIES

ITS VERY ANNOYING THAT THE MOVIE HOUSES - PARTICULARLY "LEV" DON'T POST THE ORIGINAL TITLES OF THE MOVIES IN ENGLISH OR WHATEVER - NOT AT THE BOX OFFICE, NOR ON THEIR WEBSITES. ARE THEY NOT AWARE THAT AT LEAST 30% OF THE CINEMA GOING PUBLIC ARE NOT COMPLETELY LITERATE IN HEBREW AND CERTAINLY WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE A WEIRD TRANSLATION OF A MOVIE TITLE THEY HAVE READ ABOUT IN ENGLISH! LET'S BATTLE FOR OUR RIGHTS IN THIS DIRECTION!

I completely agree that both Hebrew and English titles should appear in adverts, expecially on the net.
