Tucked away on one of the nicest streets in Florentin neighborhood, Beit Uriel is an
intimate and beautifully decorated venue that hosts a wide variety of events
Beit Uriel is actually more of a private abode that boasts beautiful bits and pieces
(art, antiques and what not) and tasty food than a real event venue, which is
what gives the place its unique atmosphere.
The house was originally set up as
a home for two talented young men, one a designer and the other a chef. The two
made elaborate dinners for their friends and simply enjoyed the beautiful
surroundings they had created, but at one point someone asked to celebrate her
wedding in their beautiful house, they agreed and the rest is history. From
that they on the house changed its purpose and the two moved on to live
elsewhere.
These days, Beit Uriel holds small weddings, music events, business launches of all sorts, press conferences, photo shoots and similar happenings. The décor in the place has been thought through very carefully (and includes golden angel statuettes, antique telephones and record players, large old-fashioned couches, mirrors, chairs and many other knickknacks) and poses an interesting contrast to the surrounding neighborhood, which is not exactly refined. Despite the high standards, the prices at the Beit Uriel are comparatively reasonable and the atmosphere is truly unique. For those seeking a different kind of place with a strong romantic appeal (some might even say a little kitsch) and carefully prepared gourmet food for a relatively small number of guests.
