A Jazz and Blues Festival, our local Valentine celebrations, a fashion designers bazaar and a Jewish plant holiday is the schedule in Tel Aviv for the month of February.
Fashion Desingers Bazaar
Every summer and winter Tel Aviv's top desingers hols an end of season bazaar in which they sell their items for a modest discount. It's a very crowded and colorful event, offering entertainment and music besides selling clothing items. The event costs NIS10, and it would make sense to ask oneself why do we have to pay in order to buy clothes? But besides that it is an amusing event and you have direct access to the creations of all the best designers in Tel Aviv, all in one place.
Address: Ganai Hata'arucha, Terminal 1
Valentine's Day
14th February 2007
Just to make things clear, Valentine's Day is practiced in Israel. Naturally, it is celebrated on a smaller scale and with less overall enthusiasm then abroad (we do have the Jewish love day in the summer, which does offer better weather), but still. Restaurants offer special deals for couples and a variety of candies, flowers, lingerie etc., can be purchased in the appropriate shops. Not exactly like home but if you happen to be around this is what you can expect.
Jazz and Blues Festival
The Tel Aviv Cinematheque offers yet another winter festival, with performances of local and international artists and plenty of other amusements.
