Located in proximity to one of Tel Aviv’s established nightlife areas,
but still maintaining a serene charm, Galileo Hotel is one of the
pleasanter budget hotels in Tel Aviv
Galileo Hotel is situated just off Allenby Street, and right next to the Carmel Market in the Yemenite Vineyard. The beaches of Tel Aviv are only 5 minutes away.
With only 12 rooms in total, the place certainly manages to maintain a very intimate feel. The rooms have an old-fashioned ambience about them, with velvety red chairs and red wall-to-wall carpets, and the décor and cleanliness are mostly fine for a hotel at this level. However, the old-fashioned trend might be a little less charming when it comes to the bathrooms, most of which could use some sprucing-up (renovated and new generally take the cake in this department!).
The hotel prides itself with a rooftop terrace, which offers a breath of fresh air and plastic seating, but not much besides. A lounging area and a couple of plants would make the terrace a little more welcoming.
Finally, the hotel breakfast is not your traditional Israeli buffet spread, but rather coffee and a pastry at the nearby organic Loveat café (On the Nachalat Biyamin Pedestrian Mall). It is a very sweet little café, but for those who like breakfast in bed or especially enjoy the lavish Israeli breakfast – be warned.
Free wireless (Wi-Fi) is available throughout this Tel Avivian hotel.
A good budget hotel in Tel Aviv that enjoys a convenient location.
