One of the very best options for budget traveling without absolutely slumming it, the Gordon Inn is one of the most popular places within the traveling community
Located just on the corner of Ben-Yehuda and Gordon Street, this cute Inn offers good facilities for relatively reasonable prices. Its really unique touch is a cute bar, which has tables overlooking the street. In short, ts popularity is well earned.
All rooms have A/C and some also have a small balcony, and you have to choose between a en-suite bathroom and a shared bathroom. If early morning honking isn't your favorite, try to get a room in the back.
The inn's location is excellent - it may not have a "sea view" but it's only "a spit away from the sea", as Israelis would say . On your way back from the beach try out one of the two very well-known ice-cream places on Ben-Yehuda St., "Iceberg"(108 Ben-Yehuda St.) and "Aldo" (a couple of blocks away). Both places have excellent Italian ice-cream in an endless number of flavors, a little expensive but worth it.
The place has recently put the rates up, making it less of a budget option, however, prices are still quite reasonable.
