Jaffa is one of the most beautiful places in Tel Aviv. It may be geographically inseparable from the metropolis, but it is a world of its own
The beautiful and relatively untouched beaches, the markets, one of the oldest functioning ports in the world, the architecture and even the air you breathe in Jaffa have something unique about them. It is a favorite with tourists from Israel and abroad and for good reason. Bustling with new restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and apartment buildings, Jaffa is becoming more and more popular (and expensive!) as the days pass.
Though Jaffa stretches across a rather large area, the areas of interest are mostly found between the
Flea Market and the
Old Port. Lazily strolling through the alleys of Old Jaffa or doing some shopping in the Flea Market (whether you're seeking antiques or fashion) is a lovely experience. As far as food goes, Jaffa has plenty to offer in the
food department whether your seeking a charming little tavern a place to eat humus or a top notch restaurant.
Many rightly claim that Jaffa is not actually part of Tel Aviv, but a place of its own right. Jaffa is indeed a separate entity and alongside the growing popularity, opening businesses and renovated Old Port, there is still quite a bit of crime in the area. There seems to be a fine balance to the relationship between the old and new inhabitants of Jaffa, but Jaffa seems to be finding it's own way of dealing with these changes and tensions.
Jaffa offers you a completely different experience from the vibrant hustle bustle of Tel Aviv, less than a 15 minutes drive from the center of Tel Aviv but almost like arriving to a different country.
I was just recently in Israel and found Tel Aviv my favorite city of all. However, I was searching for 15 Mosenson Street in Tel Aviv while visiting and could not locate this street. Can you help me?
