Budget is a well-known and respected car rental company in Israel and world-wide.

Budget is a good reliable option which has on its website a very convenient and simple inquiry form for renting cars. The company is known for its straightforward attitude which is definitely an advantage when it comes to car rentals.

Budget has a pick-up point at the Ben-Gurion Airport - for further information about airport pick-up click here.

    • Gil  - They are a bunch of crooks

It happened to me once and to my brother. When you drop off the car and are in a rush to catch your flight home, they come up with phantom damage to the car and expect to black mail you. I would never do business with them.

Absolutely horrible service, 4 hours spent to get a reserved car, cannot reach them on the phone, they block credit card and refuse to release the deposit after the car returned and rental paid. Never use it (at least in Israel)!

    • Douglas Duckett  - Budget -- good prices, but service is less reliabl

I used Budget in October 2006, and was pleased with both the price and the ease of picking up the car. But when my car went dead in a hotel garage in Tel Aviv, just blocks from the hotel I was staying at, the Tel Aviv office tried to insist that they had three hours to repair it. As I needed to leave for the north right away, I asked for another (and more trustworthy) car, and that took a 15-minute argument. The assistant would not let me speak with the manager, Moshe, until I insisted. It was not exemplary customer service. When one rents a car, one expects a car that works, and when the car doesn't work, not excuses and long delays while it is fixed.

Budget is a viable choice, but really needs to improve service in situations like this.

    • Douglas E. Duckett  - Good price, but service is not the best

I rented from this company in October 2006, and while I got a very good rate and a decent car, I found the Tel Aviv office service to be sorely lacking. When the car went dead just as I needed to leave for the north, the Tel Aviv office insisted that they would not provide me a new car, instead claiming up to three hours to repair the car. Of course, I neither wanted to wait or have a questionable car. While they eventually relented, it took a long fight with the Tel Aviv manager to get the new car. I was not very impressed with that kind of customer service.

It's an option -- but be assertive if there is a problem, and stick to your guns.

    • Bobby  - What's the gas price in Israel / or Tel Aviv ?

Well, I see so many comments on Car rental but no mention of Gas Price. Can some one tell me how much is per gallon or liter ??

      Thanks,
      Bobby
