Eldan is the largest most experienced Israeli car rental company. The main advantage of this company is its local orientation. Since it is a large Israeli based company, it probably has a great number of drop-off points around Israel – which is very convenient if you intend on travelling a lot and your car happens to break down at any point… (Worst case scenario, of course).

Since Eldan does combine accommodation deals, it might lower your expenses. But, one must remember that these kinds of deals don't necessarily provide the best value.

  Eldan has no provision for uninsured drivers who do damage to your rental. Almost 2 years ago we were lightly rear-ended by an uninsured driver and are still waiting to get our $600 deductible back in spite of submitting a police report with the name and address of the offender. Eldan has no incentive to go after him because they have my $600! If you rent from Eldan, you are at the mercy of uninsured or hit-and-run drivers, as they will keep your deductible until THEY get paid by the offender. I would not rent from this company unless they add uninsured motorist insurance in their complete package.
