Tucked away in Florentin neighborhood, Casco is a beautifully designed café/bar/gallery/design shop that has a truly unique touch.
Located on the crossroads between two of Florentin's most lively streets, Casco is a laid back café and shop, by day, and a cute drinking hub, by night. The kitchen serves light meals influenced by the owners Dutch and Indonesian origin, alongside more Israeli fare. You'll find excellent sandwiches and salads on the menu, as well as breakfasts, tasty little snacks and the dish of the day. An especially wonderful sandwich is the meatball sandwich, which is served with mayonnaise-wasabi and fresh vegetables (34 NIS).
Apart from the food and the drinks, Casco sells clothes, jewelry, bags, belts and even shoes created by local designers. Finally, the place also holds special lectures about art and architecture, and has special cinema evenings that are combined with drinks and food relevant in some way or another to the film screened.
Whether to quench your thirst or hunger, buy something nice to wear, or enjoy a bit of culture, Casco is definitely the place. To top it all off, there is excellent music in the place and a charming pair of owners.
