Puah |
|
Puah is a lovely little place for coffee and a bite to eat after wandering around The Flea Market in Jaffa.
Located on a little street in the market itself, Puah fits in perfectly with the local ambience. All the chairs, tables and even the curtains in this little restaurant have been purchased in the market and refurbished.
It's a very laidback place with an easygoing vibe. There have been some complaints of inefficient service and a tendency of waitresses to frown upon their customers (so don't take it to heart if you get a glare), but if you arrive in a relaxed mood, the time it takes for your order to arrive probably won't bother you at all.
The menu is simple and basic and the breakfasts are very nice. There are salads, sandwiches and other slightly more elaborate dishes. It's fun and pleasant, but also quite packed on Fridays when the market is full. The place has a special charm and is a favorite stop in Tel Aviv but might demand a degree of patience from hungry and thirsty customers.

Around Town
| Catit | | Catit is a well known restaurant that started out in rural areas outside Tel Aviv, until finally deciding to join the culinary scene of the big city, making itself more available to locals and tourists alike. Lucky us.
