Located in the center of the Yemenite Vineyard, Medina is one of the best places to try some traditional Yemenite cuisine.

One of the best places to eat some Lahuh or famous Yemenite Meat Soup is Medina.  It’s a quiet restaurant with no special decorations and simple seating arrangements, but the food is tasty and fresh.

The white gooey stuff which is served with the meal in a small bowl is Hilbe, a special Yemenite spice mixture similar to curry perhaps.  If you try it know that it will be staying in your blood stream for quite a few days, it will be like an aura of smell surrounding you.  So think twice before getting too adventurous…

It's an excellent place to stop by for all sorts of homemade cooking (Schnitzel, chicken soup, humus etc.) after exhausting yourself while touring Hacarmel Market, Neve Tzedek, or walking the Promenade.
