Selling their tasty pizza to hungry Tel Avivian customers, Tony Vespa is the star of Tel Aviv's new wave of pizza joints - Italy is here
The motto at Tony Vespa is "eat as much as you like and pay accordingly", i.e. there isn't a standard slice of pizza – everyone gets to choose their own rectangular shaped slice. Bacon with smoked cheese, pepperoni, tomatoes with feta cheese and basil and many other toppings await for you here. The pizza is sold at NIS 85 per kilo, which seems fair enough considering the high-quality of the ingredients.
Adding a new branch to their repertoire, Tony Vespa is now available also in the Shenkin Area. There are still no deliveries (God knows why - after all, it's pizza) but now other happy customers can walk over and pick up their square slice.
Open: Sun-Sat 12:00-2:00 Address: 267 Dizengoff St, 140 Rothschild Blvd. Tel: (03) 5460000 |
I'll tell you the reason why there are no deliveries In Tony Vespa. I've worked there for 2 years, so believe me, Im telling you this, from experience.
Every slice you take will have a different price.
If you buy a Margarita for 20sh, for instance, you will get a relatively big slice. Though if you buy a slice with Tomatoes and Fetta Cheese Thats worth 20sh, The slice will seem relatively small, because the pizza is heavier.
Now because its never the same price, and never the same weight, they don't even want to get into it.
Why dont they make an exception for delivery sake? Because they want to keep to their style. And I can understand them.
You can say that its just a pizza - But no - its no regular pizza.
You have to make the effort for this one.
