I have lived in Tel Aviv for over a year and have been a frequent visitor of the culinary scene in the city. We dine at Fortuna del Mar after sailing almost every weekend, so I have tried various things on their menu. My verdict is, you can get much better bang for your buck than this place, and it really isn't anything out of the ordinary. True, the location is great and the menu is totally edible (my personal favorite is the fried calamari). However, it is overpriced for the quality it offers and, most importantly, the manager/waitress who works there is incredibly, incredibly rude. Out of the 10-15 times I have dined there I haven't seen so much as a crooked smile appear on this person's face. Perhaps it is quite preposterous of me to be mentioning just one member of staff, this by no means affects the quality of service of the others or the food, however, her constant rudeness was potent enough for me to associate this place with nervous anxiety rather than pleasurable family time.

    • anne schreuder  - garlic

I tried at home the garlic from the oven, but it was not so good as at your place. i'am from KLM and we do not stay anymore in Tel Aviv, but KLM think it;s too dangerous for us. But I regret, because I really like your restaurant. especially the sea bream. And I would like to ask you how you make the garlic in the oven...... My e-mail is: anneschreuder@hotmail.com. Thank yor in advence.... Take care..... Hope to see yoe soon... Anne...

    • Guest  - Beach front excellence

      Pure relaxed culinary joy.

    • Alon  - Good food , great scenery

The business lunch during lunch time is a good bet, they offer a nice selection of dishes . the menu is between 15-20 USD and you need to pay more (but not a lot) for a desert and wine. To my taste its an OK deal a little bit pricey. However, The scenery is lovely a nice winter or spring day could be a great time to have lunch there.
