Dizengoff Street |
Dizengoff St. has many of the best designer shops crowding its pavements.
The fame of this street is almost as old as Tel-Aviv itself. People used to come on weekends from areas around Tel-Aviv, just to stroll down this street. Today Dizengoff has the best designer shops in Tel-Aviv, though most of the designers have a second shop in the Shenkin or Masrik area. ShopsThere is a shop every few steps of one style or another. Wedding dresses, suites, dresses and other clothing in a variety of styles and prices. On Dizengoff you will find some of the most reputable Israeli designer shops such as: Tovalé (220 Dizengoff St.) - One of the most famous designer in Israel, she is the pioneer of Israeli design. Gertrude (225 Dizengoff St.) - Very chic and very expensive, this shop offers elegant and creative items. Couple Of - A chic designers shop which specializes in shoes. Unique and beautiful items. Catomenta (173 Dizengoff St.) - Greatly influenced by NY styles, this shop offfers chic yet fun clothing Kalla (184, Dizengoff St.) - A little shop selling vintage clothes imported mainly from Hong-Kong.
All these places offer very unique and creative articles, influenced largely from styles in NY and London but giving the items an Israeli touch. The prices are rather high, but when translating it into Euro it seems less outrageous. Try Gucha, a little seafood restaurant, for a bite to eat.
