Perhaps the trendiest shopping spot in Tel Aviv these days, The Electric Garden area boasts a wide selection of young designers' fashion creations
This area of Tel Aviv has, in the past few years, turned from a rundown, slightly unpleasant area into one of the most sought-after places for shop owners, restaurateurs and, of course, normal inhabitants who would like to enjoy all this wealth. Young and more established designers have opened shop around the garden set in the centre of the area an on the adjoining streets. In their shops they display their original designs – the range of prices and styles is indeed very impressive.
Among the shops worth visiting are:
Israel's Place (2 Levontin St) – a lovely selection of clothes by various designers.
Fabrica (6 Levontin St) 0 handmade clothes, bags and jewelry by three Israel designers.
Ruby Star (28 Levontin St) – bags, belts, jewelry and other finely-designed accessories.
Kissim (8 HaChashmal St) – a gorgeous selection of locally designed leather and cloth bags.
Frau Blau (8 Hachashmal St) – creative, colorful, almost humoristic pieces by a fashion duo.
Delicatessen (4 Barzily St) – clean, modern looking cuts in calm colours.
A+ (7 Barzily St) – a wide selection of chic, imported little fits from the Far East.
This lovely area, only a two minute walk from Rothschild Blvd., just off Yehuda Halevi Street (click for a Map of Tel Aviv) is truly charming. To refresh yourself while shopping, try Loveat (1 Barzilai St), a sweet little café that offers plenty of healthy, freshly prepared salads, sandwiches and more.
