Gallery 33 is pleased to announce the opening of Ben Tritt / Guys & Dolls.
December 29 – February 15 2005/6
Opening: Thursday December 29 / 20:00
Perverse, oozing, smelly, slimy, sexy, compelling and harrowingly beautiful paintings.
Ben Tritt’s Guys & Dolls speaks with complete formal clarity while having an utterly ambigious subject matter. Reminiscing on Gustave Courbet, Francis Bacon, and other contemporaries, Tritt’s new exhibition is a great step forward from his last show with Gallery 33, Metamorphoses from July 2004.
Educated in NY, Florence, and Jerusalem, Tritt (Born 1972, Brooklyn NY) was active in Jerusalem for seven years and was instrumental in the establishment of Israel Hershberg's Jerusalem Studio School. Currently Ben Tritt works in Albany, NY, where he teaches at The State University of New York. He is represented by Gallery 33 in Tel Aviv and Pierre Loudmer in Paris.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog.
