Named after one of the founding fathers of Jazz music Louis Armstrong, this little neighbourhood pub has become a real establishment after almost 10 years in Tel Aviv's nightlife
During the week, the pub attracts young locals from Florentine neighbourhood, coming to drink a beer after a hard day at work - in their slippers. So you can figure that the atmosphere here is totally posh-free. On the weekends you might find the place crowded, and since there isn't too much space in there, it tends to get a little smoky and loud. However, the bar has a wide selection of Whisky brands served by the regularly warm and attentive staff, and the prices are very reasonable. If you get the munch after a night of drinking, you're most welcomed to visit "Basili.com", just a bit further on Florentine street, and grab one of the finest pizzas Tel Aviv can offer. Then again, the greatest advantage of this pub is the great music they play there. In a world slowly filling with Britneys and Eminems, it's nice to find a hideaway which doesn't compromise music-wise. The D.J standing in an improvised post at the end of the bar just brings his home collection of CDs, without any computer playlists or fancy mixers. The style is composed of non mainstream tracks, from the greatest Jazz artists, through Classic rock ballads, and up to new meticulously picked alternative music, a pleasure for the ears.
