Riding a Bicycle |
|
The wide boulevards and sunny weather in Tel Aviv are perfect for getting around on a bicycle.
Many of the locals prefer the bicycle option over walking because of the speed and the many parks and avenues, which makes riding a bike a convenient and enjoyable option. Since the city is rather small and there are no hills, you’ll see many people using this vehicle.
Rent a bicycle - There are many bicycle rental places around town just take your pick in the area nearby your hotel or other place of accommodation. Try Bograshov Street, Allenby Street or Jerusalem Avenue to rent a bicycle for a day, a week or month.
Buy a bicycle - The best place to buy bicycles is on Jerusalem Blvd, in Jaffa. The bicycles price should start around 350 NIS for a used pair and go up from there. There are many other places further north but you should get the best prices in Jaffa.
Tel Aviv "boasts" a very active bicycle theft community; people do expect to have their bicycles stolen and one point or another and therefore don't spend too much money on the bicycles they purchase.
