For a light lunch or cup of coffee, try this vegetarian café on Yedidia Frankel St. It's a charming little place with an unusual vibe, for this area of Tel Aviv. During the day it serves as a quite coffee-shop but in the later hours of the day people pop in to have a drink and mingle.
The breakfasts are nice and fresh, the sandwiches are really good and the fresh Green Apple juice is extraordinary. The service is very friendly, in the Israeli laid-back sort of way. In all honesty, it's a lovely little break no matter what you eat or drink.
Open: Sun-Thu 9:00-00:30, Fri 9:00-Shabbat (around 17:00)

remarkably ungenerous and a little disingenuous: the tofu with mushrooms dish over rice had mostly cabbage, *very* few mushrooms and hardly any tofu or rice; the avocado wrap with egg consisted of a thin green paste with bits of egg and mostly of lettuce; the portion of penne pasta was very small. we were very disappointed having heard such good things. it felt like the chef was taking advantage at every opportunity.
