Oh, one more thing. Although I myself am in my early twenties, I would disagree about the cliental consisting of teenagers and such. I would say, depending on the time of day of course, that it runs more towards later twenties and above. There is the afternoon crowd and then the evening crowd, and then the late late evening/early morning crowd. Different feelings during different hours... - Missing the Minzar

I went to the Minzar almost daily when I was living in Tel Aviv for a few months earlier this year. If not daily, then every other day, and usually very late at night until the sun rose. It is a place for the lost, lonely, confused, and tormented, in a good way. You will meet a whole cast of characters here, from ex-pats to local Israeli musicians plus their dogs. Great atmosphere, especially around the bar (only area I ever sat in, except for one sunny afternoon when I sat in the glass enclosed area), and the food is great considering it is a bar. It has an old school underground bohemian feel, and most definitely for lovers of alcohol. - Missing the Minzar

If you never have been to TA before, you should visit the Minzar on you first evening. After a beer and a bath in the Mediterranean Sea (which is only 5 minutes away) you will feel the spirit of the city. - Guest
