About the hotel

The Dan Hotel was Tel Aviv’s first luxury hotel and it is still considered one of the city’s finest. The hotel has hosted many celebrity guests during their visits to Tel Aviv, including Lady Gaga and U2.

It is located in the perfect spot for holiday makers in the White City; on HaYarkon Street, right on the beachfront, between the Namal (Tel Aviv Port) on the north and the old city of Jaffa on the south.  Steps away from Tel Aviv’s Frishman Beach. It is also a short walk away from the city’s other must-visit attractions like Shenkin Street, Nachalat Benyamin Crafts Fair, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and others.

A little history

The hotel’s original building was built in the 1930s. In its first days it was a small guest house called Kaete Dan, the first of any type of lodging on the Tel Aviv beachfront. In 1947, brothers Yekutiel and Shmuel Federmann purchased the building, and kept the name; they later formed the Dan Hotels Corporation.

The hotel has undergone several revamps, the last was in 2000 when it underwent a total make over.
